Jumeirah College is a beautiful, well-appointed facility
set in the heart of the prestigious suburb of Jumeirah in
Dubai. The impressive atrium, flooded with natural light from
overhead skylights provides a comfortable and welcoming reception
area for parents and guests.
Built to extremely high standards, the school features spacious
and airy classrooms that are supported by a variety of state
of the art facilities. Separate sections for Primary and Secondary
are designed to meet the differing learning requirements of
each.
Library and Resource Centre
Jumeirah College library is well laid out and stocked with
over 10,000 books and resource items. The library features
a suite of computers with internet facilities.
Information and Communication Technology Suites
In addition to numerous computers located in classrooms and
throughout the school, Jumeirah College features three fully
networked ICT Suites complete with interactive scanners, printers,
multi-media projectors and a broad range of software resources
aimed at enhancing both teaching and learning.
Science Labs
Science labs are well resourced and fitted with the latest
equipment that support the teaching of the sciences.
Design & Technology Rooms
Design & Technology is taught in seperately built rooms,
which comprises a graphic and plastics workshop, a metal workshop
and a CADCAM room.
Drama Studio
Jumeirah College features a well appointed, sound proof drama
studio equipped with highly polished sprung floor.
Music Rooms
The college has two music classrooms and three separate practice
rooms. Many students choose to have individual musical tuition
in a range of instruments for which there are additional charges.
Art and Ceramic Studios
Jumeirah College has two spacious, naturally lit, well-resourced
art studios, complemented by two firing kilns for ceramics.
Sports Hall
The huge, air-conditioned, multi-purpose sports hall is the
main indoor teaching space for the PE Department. It is marked
out and fitted with all the equipment needed to teach the
usual array of indoor sports. Adjacent to the hall are seperate
boys and girls changing rooms.
The hall also has a stage at one end which means it can also
easily convert into an auditorium for school assemblies, performances
and other events.
Swimming Pool
Shaded seating areas for the viewing of swimming galas flank
the 25 metre outdoor pool. The pool is fitted with a heater
to ensure all year around use.
Tennis/Netball Courts
The school features a high quality surface outdoor fenced
area for tennis and netball.
Grassed Playing Fields
A small on campus playing field is located adjacent to the
pool, which is supported by full sized grass pitches, a five
minute walk from school.
Kindergarten (Nursery) Play Area
Kindergarten children have their own designated play area
that features sand and grassed play area conveniently located
just outside the Kindergarten classrooms.
Primary Play Area
Attractively fitted with shaded areas, benches and sun umbrellas;
the primary outdoor play area features hard and soft surfaces
including sand areas and greenways.
Canteen
An attractive on campus canteen with both indoor and outdoor
seating provides a healthy snack and lunch service to secondary
students.
